Another scavanger hunt entry; this month's theme was "The Invisible". I love the scavanger hunts because we all get to interpret the subject on our own and share ideas; there are some rather talented people that participate, therefore I am compelled to strive to be even more imaginitive each time. It's a challenge, but a lot of fun.

Okay, the specifics:
Kodak Ultracolor Plus, double exposure.
No photoshopping aside from resize, sharpen, and frame.
Now that's a killer idea. If I could've, I might've masked out the wooden frame and eliminated the distractions (misc backround objects.) A bit of black velvet might work, as it's harder to reflect dark objects than it is lighter ones. Other than that, the concept is damn good. If you had the things mentioned above, I'd be hard pressed not to think it a manip.
I did use a black backdrop on the rear portion of the room, not velvet, though... I'm afraid that's a lil' too unaffordable for my budget at the moment. When you say "mask out", what do you mean, just eliminate that one really bright area to the left of the chair? That one reflection is actually bounced off of that black backdrop. :/ boo. That bit is really the only part that bugs me. I wish I had taken the time to really see what was there, but I was starting to worry, between walking inside and outside and changing lenses, that my camera would either run out of batteries or decide to shut off on its own. Funny how paranoid we can be when we're "on a mission"! I did three takes and thought this one came out the best because the position of the chair corresponded with the position of the earth outside and there was just enough balance between interior and exterior. After I'd gotten these shots, I decided to stick my kids in the chair and take their photos, too... came out quite good, for what little I had at my disposal.
omg! thats great! ..did u do a double negative? i SO wanna try that! you put great images together. the colours and images are contrasting yet complimentary very nice!
fantastic!!!! i thought that it was a reflection until i read that it was a double exposure!! very surreal and very pretty! the light on that chair is wonderful!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
